All
of the following look like photographs, but are actually examples
of 3D renderings using Lightwave 3d 7.0. If there is not enough
time to set up a camera for the client I will create a life-like
3d rendering. In the near future, I will be creating a tutorial
on how to create these diamonds and gems, only if there are
enough email requests.
Just
a quick setup for a diamond look-a-like. This still needs
work but it is still quite impressive.
Diamond
setup with blue backdrop.
I was also testing environment lighting.
Experimenting
with camera angles from different views and light refraction.
This isn't my favorite angle but i did find it interesting.
Here
I decided to try the side and front approach.
The environmental lighting is still a work in progress.
Ahhh...
Now things are starting to get a little more interesting.
Here I rendered this little jewel using a plugin called
HD Caustics from happy-digital. You can visit their web
site at http://www.happy-digital.com
This plugin works great but you kind of have already have
an eye how light should bounce off objects.
Again
I am using the HD Caustics plugin to make the light dance
a little more.
Talk about producing some eXtremeFX!
With
the HD Caustics plugin still in action i add a little
color to these gems.
Some day if i get enough requests I'll produce a tutorial
on all this because it took me about 2 days of playing
around with settings...
But once you get started its all a piece of cake!
Well.....This
one seems a little too strong on the light or as we
say in the photography business
...HOT LIGHT! HOT LIGHT!
But wait its not photography!
ITS LIGHTWAVE 3D with HD Caustics plugin from Happy-Ditital
BLUE
GEM With out HD Caustic Plugin....
But still its not bad....
for a BLUE GEM STONE.
OOHHHH
AHHHHH....
This is the SAME Blue Gem Stone as
above. The only difference is that this one has HD Caustic
Plugin from Happy-Digital
applied.
